Type: Enum

The kind of work a workflow node performs. Values are contributed by the host: the platform's own node kinds plus any the active vertical registers.

agent_task	Agent Task — Uses an AI agent to resolve a task by picking one of the task definition's outcomes.
assert	Assert — Evaluates a workflow-expression predicate. Hard-fails the workflow or branches softly.
condition	Condition — Branches execution based on a workflow-expression predicate.
csv_parse	CSV — Parses CSV strings to arrays of objects, or encodes arrays of objects to CSV.
custom_workflow_action	Custom Action — Runs a user-defined Lua-backed custom action.
delay	Delay — Pauses workflow execution for a configurable duration.
file_check	File Check — Checks if a file exists in a Folder.
file_copy	File Copy — Copies a file between Folders.
file_delete	File Delete — Deletes a file from a Folder.
file_list	File List — Lists files in a Folder.
file_read	File Read — Reads a file from a Folder.
file_wait	File Wait — Waits for a specific file to appear in a Folder.
file_write	File Write — Writes content to a file in a Folder.
for_each	For Each — Iterates an array; runs an embedded body node per item.
graphql	GraphQL — Executes a GraphQL query or mutation against the CoCoCo API.
http_call	HTTP Call — Sends an HTTP request to an arbitrary URL (policy-gated).
http_request	HTTP Request — Sends an HTTP request to a device.
impose_pdf	Impose PDF — Imposes source PDFs onto press sheets per a plan and stores the print-ready PDF.
impose_plan	Impose Plan — Runs the imposition engine and outputs the recommended sheet plan as structured data.
integration_action	Integration Action — Runs an action from an installed integration's catalog.
invoke_edge_app	Invoke Edge App — Calls a function on an edge app installed on a controller.
join	Join — Merges predecessor outputs into one (object, array, or keyed).
json_parse	JSON — Parses JSON strings to structured values, or encodes structured values to JSON.
log	Log — Emits a message to the execution log and passes the input through.
logic	Logic — Combines predicate operands through a boolean gate (and/or/not/nand/nor/xor/xnor).
merge	Merge — Fan-in (OR): merges whatever live predecessor outputs arrive.
message	Message — Sends a templated notification to a group or recipient.
microsql	MicroSQL — Runs a MicroSQL query against the platform's reporting engine.
ml_predict	ML Prediction — Runs an ML model prediction with typed feature inputs.
mqtt_publish	MQTT Publish — Publishes a message to MQTT (broker-wide or device-targeted).
pdf_preflight	PDF Preflight — Runs a PrepressKit preflight on a component artwork PDF and optionally persists the report.
pdf_render	PDF Render — Renders one page of a PDF (artwork or managed file) to an image.
pdf_separations	PDF Separations — Renders every ink plate of a PDF page to grayscale PNGs stored as managed Files.
producibility_audit	Producibility Audit — Runs a feasibility audit against a job's production DAG.
regex	Regex — Regex match, extract, replace, or split operations on a string.
script	Script — Runs a Lua script (from the script table or inline).
set_variable	Set Variable — Sets workflow variables from literal values or {{ … }} expressions.
split	Split — Fans out input to all outgoing edges in parallel.
sql_query	SQL Query — Runs a SQL query against a device's database.
switch	Switch — Multi-way branching by workflow-expression predicates; first match wins, with optional default.
task	Task — Creates a human-in-the-loop task and waits for resolution.
transform	Transform — Maps output keys from expression templates, literals, or nested structures.
yaml_parse	YAML — Parses YAML strings to structured values, or encodes structured values to YAML.
