Values

Value	Description	Deprecated
COLOR	Multi-channel image data (RGB, CMYK, or similar).
GRAYSCALE	A single continuous-tone channel.
INDEXED	Palette-based data, where each sample selects a colour from a lookup table.
MONOCHROME	1-bit data — an image mask or pure bitonal image, with no intermediate tones.
