HUMAN | A person rather than equipment; such a work centre normally carries linkedUserId pointing at the platform user it stands for. | |
LOCATION | A place rather than a worker or a machine — a bay, staging area or storage position — modelled as a work centre so that time on it can be booked. | |
MACHINE | Equipment that performs the work itself — a press, folder, cutter or similar. The default for a work centre created without a resource type. | |
TOOL | A reusable piece of tooling — a die, plate, jig or fixture — tracked as a bookable resource in its own right rather than as part of the machine that uses it. |
